Now that’s what Americans will be doing for the next four years if ACORN is allowed to steal the election. I won’t say “if Obama wins” because there is no chance of that…you know ,I know it, and what’s more Obama knows it and that’s why he has hired ACORN.
And his thugs of course…like you.
We all will remember “Joe the plumber”….
What has he promised you? That you can finally move out of mommy’s basement and he will “give” you what you are too lazy to earn for yourself?

Oooh. Now I am not only male, but a thug. Do your research, dear. Voter registration fraud has never impacted an election. If you sign up as Mickey Mouse, A. No one is going to approve your registration, and B. If by some strange chance they register you, the people at the polls would probably laugh at you and send you home. No one is denying that what ACORN does is wrong. It’s illegal. But it’s also not up to them to approve/deny registrations. ACORN also signs up both republican AND democratic voters. And, do your research… McCain has spoken at ACORN sponsored events. Neither side has clean hands here, it’s kind of pathetic the slinging that people do. It’s a fine example of what is wrong with this country… people giving into fear, paranoia.

By the way, I make 75k/year. I don’t look for handouts from anyone. I don’t live in a basement. My typical 3-bedroom suburbia life is pretty average. I have 3 cats. I refuse to listen to either side’s conspiracy theories. Life is too short to live bitter and angry. No one is out to get me. Or out to get you, you might want to think about that…

Thanks for the fine example!

I got my first real comment, apparently from someone who thinks I am a liar. Let me post it right up top here so he doesn’t get lost down in the last post:

So Mr. “Republican”…yeah right……you just started this bog five minutes ago to tell us all that being a Republican doesn’t mean you are a conservative. Riiiiight again.
Oh sure…..
Listen you little Obama sock puppet…at least be honest. At least admit that A. you were never a republican and B. this shtick of yours really isn’t working….
But thanks for yet another great representation of what an Obama REGIME would look like. All smoke and mirrors and socialism….
P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C….

Ok, let’s start with the obvious. If you read my post, you’d see that I am FEMALE. I’ll give you some other info, just so you know. I helped campaign for Dole with the College Republicans on my university campus, campaigned for republican candidates in the university student senate. I got a good laugh out of this, and you just gave me a prime example of what is wrong with the party I belong to. Good going 🙂

I don’t see the smoke and mirrors here. McCain himself goes on and on about he defies his party, and I don’t think there’s anything socialist about saying Joe is gonna lose his job as he didn’t bother to get trained on his own profession. We work hard to get where we are, why should Joe get to skate by? Because we think he’s being unfairly put into the media?

Joe (not a) Plumber

I just got done reading the rant on Hot Air about Joe the Plumber

How exactly does everyone there think they can blame the “liberal” media for this man’s demise?

Let’s sum up here: McCain brought up Joe. A lot. And then the incorrect information about Joe being related to Charles Keating of the Keating 5 was posted by Martin Eisenstadt, who is a McCain advisor and conservative commentator. These things set off the bloggers of the world who, experts at digging up info, found some interesting things about Joe. Martin has yet to post a correction to his misinformation. Now, it doesn’t matter which side of the fence something like this would have occurred on, but let’s be honest here. If the tables were turned, Fox news and the 80% conservative radio news would have drug through the mud the likes of anyone, let’s call him Mike the Carpenter, who asked McCain a question and turned out to be a Democrat, has legal problems, and is potentially related to some unsavory character. Conservatives everywhere would be outraged, call that person a plant… etc. etc.

This isn’t something just the left-wingers would do. Emotions are high, stakes are higher, and every bit of info is being blown to disproportionate sizes. So who is Joe the victim of here? Well, to be honest I think Joe has done himself in. Although McCain made him into a household name, and the media has dredged up his past, the truth is is that Joe took his 15 minutes of fame, and has to face the consequences for it. I pay my taxes, why shouldn’t Joe? I don’t have a license to be a plumber, so I am not a plumber. If I had my mind made up about who I was voting for, I wouldn’t wander down to the other candidate’s rally and ask hypothetical questions. If you’re doing something technically illegal, why the heck would you go on national TV and talk about it?

the angry republican…

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now… and the leaves are falling faster every day as we all get closer to this country’s next monumental decision. I’ve been a registered Republican since I was 18, I’m 34, Female, college-educated, small business owner, I love pizza, chocolate, and watching football. I love long walks in the park and I love thunderstorms, pina coladas… oh wait, wrong blog…

Back to the real subject here: I don’t like politics. It makes me angry. Someone is always doing something they shouldn’t, doing things that may hurt others, and in general politicians are busy 24-7 giving government a bad rap. So why am I writing this blog? Call it therapy. Call it boredom. Whatever you want to call it, here it is…
